8th grade students can visit and interact with the following blog:

http://blog.anniefox.com/obama

The amount of points they earn will depend on the frequency and type of activity they engage in (for example, reading the entries, submitting a comment, asking questions, etc.) At minimum, students should write a paragraph where they would reflect on the blog. This paragraph is due on first class of next week. For additional questions, please contact me via email.

As a part of the unit on the Mongol Empire, 7th grade students are working on an exciting hands-on project – Mongolian yurt. Students are working in groups of 3-4 and are collaborating effectively with their classmates. We are hoping that the enthusiasm they are showing carries over in the study of other Asian civilizations this spring.
