Test will cover topics from Ch.3 – Lessons 1, 2 and 3. For extra credit up to 7pts, complete following questions on pages 76 and 77: Reviewing Key Terms (B), Exploring Concepts (A and B), Using Critical Thinking (Pick any two questions).
Pick two laws (from school and your town), and revise them. Prepare the arguments for revision. We will vote in class and which laws would be the best to revise.

This past Thursday, October 1st, 7th grade had a wonderful opportunity to hear from Ameena Jandali. Ameena is the member of Islamic Networks group, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about Islam. Ameena did a great job presenting basic principles of her faith/religion, and answering many questions from our curious students.
This project is due at the beginning of the class. Students should contact me via email with any questions about the project.
Answer following questions:
What qualities would you look for in a person who was to take over Muhammad’s role as a leader in Islam?
Discuss how you would handle the selection of a new leader. Would it be important that the new leader be related to Muhammad? Why or why not?
Read the notes on the video we watched in class (Terrible Transformation) and answer the attached questions.
7th grade will have their first quiz of the school year in World History. Quiz will cover material on Islam (Ch.3-1 and 2). Students will be allowed to use notes on this first formal assessment. There is also homework due (Handout on Ch.3-2)
